Digital Inclusion Project

Aim of the Project: Sustainable Smart Agriculture for Africa. The project runs a virtually library and also a BOYD Internet Connectivity (BICO) at the Ben-Isi Farm, Rageng'ni, Kisii County, Kenya. A free two-hour Internet access is provided to residents of the village, but with the target being school going children and high school students. The pilot project of the farm is an aquaculture initiative incorporating fishpond farming co-operatives completely supported by green energy. In exchange for BOYD Internet Connectivity, the volunteers are asked to donate some time to perform farm tasks that do not go beyond one hour. Residents residing near the farm can register for free Internet access.
